Henry trained with classical and folklore Spanish dances as well as Modern Afro-Cuban at the National School of Dance in Havana, Cuba. Classical ballet has always been a fundamental practice for him. He joined the National dance company, Danza Contemporánea de Cuba as a soloist dancer and there his passion for ballet became stronger after continuing learning from very inspiring masters. Alongside his studies and career as a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher, he has strengthened his classical ballet methodology drawing from principles of the Cuban ballet school, among others. In 2024 he completed the bachelor Teacher of Classical Ballet at the Dutch National Ballet Academy, where he delved in the Vaganova methodology and enriched his toolbox as a classical ballet educator.

The lesson plan is designed to establish a solid foundation for your dance training. We will focus on some of the main elements:  the floor, the centre and across the space exercises to systematically learn the steps and combinations in their most functional ways. 

With Henry’s skilled guidance, you will learn to execute each movement with flow and precision. With the goal to let you move with fluidity and confidence across elements of spiral, undulation, contraction and high release, every session will prepare you for diverse combinations that follow musicality, varied movement qualities, dynamics and simple to complex coordinations.
